COLLO (Algeria)

An aerial view of the port of Collo on the Algerian coast. The Catalan-Aragonese fleet obstensively landed here in 1282 for a crusade to support the king of Constantina 70 kms due south of Collo.

A depiction of Constantina in 1836. The city was the supposed objective of the fleet, but Peter III made little effort despite the king, who was an ally, being overthrown.
